Dental Office Design and Construction
Initial Consultation: Our initial consultation is free and gives us an opportunity to review and discuss the scope of the project you’d like to undertake and for us to present our portfolio. We’ll discuss ideas, feasibility and budget.
Design &Budgeting: During this phase, we’ll survey existing conditions and field measure the areas to be renovated.Whether it is a new construction, renovation or remodeling, our designers pay special attention to detail to give you the perfect dental office. We’ll conduct an in-depth interview to determine your needs, as well as review websites and magazines to collect ideas for the way you want your dental office to look. We’ll create CAD schematic plans including electrical and lighting designs. We’ll visit our trusted materials suppliers with you to guide you through the finish material selection process; we believe this approach reduces time by allowing us to make recommendations based on your budget since we have extensive knowledge and experience with a wide range of products and materials. Once the plans and design is approved and finishes selected, we will provide you with a detailed estimate and comprehensive proposal. We differ from many contractors in that our trade partner and vendor prices are open to review by our clients. We believe in an open, honest relationship in which everyone understands they are getting the highest quality products at a great overall value.
Estimates & Proposal: We don’t play pricing games where the initial bid is low, knowing that work has been omitted and potential shortfalls can be recouped through change orders. Our estimates are realistic and proposals detailed, clear and concise.
Construction:Before the construction starts, we’ll present a detailed construction schedule and provide a list of our team members and trade partners who will be working in your office. With deep expertise in the construction of Orthodontic, Endodontic, Periodontic and Oral Surgeon offices, you can be rest assured that we will give you the best. We’ll also protect your personal belongings with dust barriers and ensure that all the finishes, floors and surfaces are covered. From the start of your project, there will be daily onsite supervision and we will thoroughly clean up at the end of each day and keep you informed on our progress.
Punch List & Warranty: Together we’ll walk through your newly remodelled project to make sure you are delighted with our craftsmanship. We will develop a detailed final punch list and email for your review and approval. We are committed to stay on your project until everything is complete. At the completion of the project, we will provide an owner’s manual which will include spec books for all finishes, paint colors, appliances, fixtures and equipment including warranty information. Our workmanship will stand the test of time and all our work and projects receive a three year written warranty.
A far superior method of executing a renovation or remodeling project is Design/Build. There are many benefits for a well- designed and managed design/ build process which include the following:
One Source of Responsibility: When both the design and construction are in the hands of a single entity, there is a single point of responsibility for quality, cost and adherence to the outlined schedule. The design-builder is motivated to deliver a successful project by fulfilling multiple parallel objectives, including functional quality, aesthetics, budget, and schedule for a timely completion of the project. With design-build, the client is able to focus on scope/needs definition and timely decision-making, rather than coordination between designer and builder.
Cost Savings: Design/build personnel, working and communicating as a team, evaluate alternative materials and methods efficiently and accurately.
Time Savings: Because design and construction are overlapped, and because bidding periods and redesign are eliminated, total design and construction time can be significantly reduced.
Quality: The singular responsibility inherent in design/build serves as a motivation for quality and proper project performance
Early Knowledge of Firm Costs: The entity responsible for design is simultaneously estimating construction costs and can accurately conceptualize the complete project. Because of this, guaranteed construction costs are known much earlier than in other delivery systems.
Improved Risk Management: Responsibilities/risks are appropriately balanced and therefore the performance aspects of cost, quality, and schedule are clearly defined. Change orders due to “errors and omissions’ are virtually eliminated, because the design/builder has responsibility for developing drawings and specifications as well as constructing a fully-functioning project.
